CASUAL CATERING ASSISTANTS

We are looking to recruit Casual Catering Assistants to join our busy team who will take pride in offering the best service possible to our customers. The role includes a variety of tasks - food preparation, serving clients, till operation and maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness in all areas of the Restaurant. Previous experience would be an advantage but not essential.

The rota will include weekend and Bank Holiday working; applicants must also be flexible in their availability for work in order to provide cover for holidays and absence. Candidates must have a good knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety standards and practices; a Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable. In line with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, applicants must be able to provide documentary evidence of eligibility to live and work in the UK. All documents and qualification certificates should be provided at interview.

TEMPORARY POST – MATERNITY COVER (UP TO 12 MONTHS)
CUSTOMER SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR

For over 200 years, Denby has been producing superior products, and today we pride ourselves on being the foremost producer of distinctive quality informal tableware.

We will shortly have a temporary vacancy to cover one of our Customer Service Administrator’s when she takes imminent maternity leave. This busy full-time role (currently Monday-Friday 8.45am-5.00pm – applicants must be flexible and overtime will be required to work during busy times).

This role encompasses a wide range of tasks including order management for both retail and private customers, internal and external communication both written and verbal, claims and complaints processing, order payment and refund processing, responding to incoming telephone and e-mail queries and occasional switchboard and mail room duties.

Applicants must have proven experience of administration in a customer service environment and should have a positive ‘can do’ attitude. In particular, you will need the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines with minimum supervision, and possess strong numeracy and organisational skills along with good computer literacy including excellent keyboard skills. Team working is essential, as are excellent communication skills, particularly on the telephone.

Part-Time Tours Receptionist/Administrator

We are looking to recruit a person into the above role within our busy Visitor Centre Reception, working 15 hours minimum per week (2 days) on a 7 day rota basis to include weekends, Bank Holidays, special events and cover for absence/holidays. Hours of work are 9.00am – 5.00pm with a half hour unpaid break.

Working as part of a team you will be required to welcome visitors, process bookings, answer the telephone and undertake daily clerical tasks. The area includes a sales floor and the position includes assisting with stock ordering, merchandising, operating the till, stock takes etc.

Applicants must be personable, welcoming and approachable. Availability to work during our busy school holiday periods is essential as is proven experience of working with the public and basic PC skills. Previous experience of working in the tourism or retail sectors is desirable, but training will be given in all aspects of the role.
