PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER - MAKING
FULL TIME 39 HRS

We are looking to recruit a permanent Team Leader, a key role in supporting Team Members and the Business in a challenging environment. Applicants must have previous Leadership experience within a manufacturing environment which would ideally be of a batching type process. It is essentially a ‘hands-on’ job requiring a positive customer focussed approach, involving the following as required:

• Direct responsibility for approximately 20 team members across a range of production processes.
• Effective planning and organising of manpower and materials to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Daily measurement and reporting of production performance in terms of volume, quality and plant effectiveness.
• Regular communication with Team Members, Support Functions and Departmental Management.
• Day to day coaching and training of team members.
• A front line position in supporting the implementation of a continuous improvement culture:
- Regular team briefings
- Measurement of improvement activity
- Identifying improvements and implementing actions
- Maintenance and ownership of visual management systems
• A key role within health and safety management to ensure day to day compliance of company regulations and rules.
• An intermediate level of IT skills (Office applications mainly)

Hours of work are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 1.00pm Friday (39 hours per week). This is an hourly paid position, paid 4 weekly on a competitive rate of pay and favourable terms and conditions of employment.

COOKERY DEMONSTRATOR
Part-Time 10 hours (2 days 11.00am to 4.00pm)

The Cookery Emporium offers a wide selection of quality cookware, gourmet ingredients, kitchen gadgets and equipment and has a Cookery Demonstration theatre.

A Cookery Demonstrator is required to carry out demonstrations to visitors using gadgets and gizmos on sale in the Cookery Emporium along with Denby tableware items. The ideal person should have a Home Economist or food related qualification, be outgoing, enthusiastic and have the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience as a demonstrator would be beneficial but not essential.

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 2 days per week, (11.00am to 4.00pm), on a rota basis, including weekends. Flexibility around availability will be looked for to cover for holidays etc.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Administrator to join our committed, enthusiastic and successful team within the central support office of Denby Retail. As a tourist attraction with 6 stores on site and 30 outlet stores around the country, the job is both varied and challenging.

This full time role (Monday-Friday 8.45am-5.00pm) encompasses general administration and a wide range of tasks including stock control and auditing, promotional planning and analysis and a high level of communication with the outlets and various departments.

Applicants should be computer literate and possess a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power point. Experience of using EPOS systems is desirable but not essential. Strong organisational skills, the ability to multi task and prioritise are pre-requisites of the position.

RETAIL SUPPORT SUPERVISOR
FULL TIME

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Support Supervisor to manage our small admin team within the central support office of Denby Retail, based at our award winning Visitor Centre near Ripley, Derbyshire. The support office is responsible for all of the administration for the retail division. This includes the Centre itself, which has 6 stores on site, and also 30 Denby outlet stores around the country plus our subsidiary Company, Poole Pottery in Dorset.

This is a full time role (Monday-Friday 8.45am-5.00pm) encompassing general administration covering a wide range of tasks which are varied and challenging and will suit an experienced Office Supervisor, preferably with retail experience although this is not essential.

Reporting to the Retail Operations Controller you will ensure that consistently high levels of administration performance are maintained within this busy office. This role requires excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills. Applicants should have strong computer skills, especially Excel. Experience of using EPOS systems is desirable but not essential. Exceptional organisational and problem solving skills, the ability to multi task and prioritise, self motivation and enthusiasm are pre-requisites of the position.
