QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
Full Time

We have an opening for a permanent position within the Quality Department that requires a bright and enthusiastic person to help us ensure our products meet quality and safety standards. Core products are kitchen ware items covering a wide variety of material types and designs.

Based at our warehouse site near the centre of Derby, this position will primarily involve hands-on monitoring of supplier performance through visual inspection, measuring to drawings/specifications followed by reporting on delivery performance.

Additional responsibilities will include control of non-conforming products, organising rework activities, examining customer complaints and data collection to support quality and environmental compliance.

Ideally we would like candidates with the following minimum attributes:
• Accurate, hard worker with strong attention to detail
• Able to work under own initiative and minimal supervision
• Good computer skills – MS Office
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal, to all levels of business
• An understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles
• Appreciation of basic statistics
• A full, clean driving licence

This position is ideal for an accomplished factory worker with an eye for detail or a focused individual looking for a position that involves a practical approach. Support and on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate. Hours of work are 39 per week, 7:30 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 7:30 – 12:30 Friday.

STORE SUPERVISOR - EAST MIDLANDS DESIGNER OUTLET
PART TIME - 22.5 HOURS

We are currently looking for a Store Supervisor to provide support to the store management team, deputise during days off and holiday periods, and play an important role in driving sales and profitability in store.

The successful candidate will have retail experience (either in a store or concession environment), have a flexible approach towards work, and possess a “can do” approach towards the role. This position will involve weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis. You will also be comfortable working as part of a small, dedicated team.

TEMPORARY PRODUCTION OPPORTUNITIES

You may have heard that Denby Pottery, the UK number one informal tableware manufacturing Company, is enjoying further growth at the present time – particularly thanks to our international sales.

On the back of this success, we are looking to recruit additional personnel on a temporary basis in a variety of jobs and shifts in the Denby factory. We expect this growth to be sustained throughout 2015 and beyond and therefore are looking for longer term temporary appointments.

These jobs could include machine operation, or specific hand craft skills, and operating as a member of a flowline or working individually. Full training will, of course, be given and no previous experience is necessary, although experience in manufacturing operations would be an advantage.

TEMPORARY PART-TIME SALES ASSISTANT
PART-TIME 20 HOURS PER WEEK

We have a vacancy in store for a Part-Time Sales Assistant on a temporary arrangement for approximately 4 months, 20 hours per week, minimum wage for those age 18+.

The hours worked will be on a 7 day rota basis and will include weekend working and Bank Holidays. Previous retail experience would be an advantage, however training will be given.
