Cast your mind back to the large flurry of snow that fell in late November. Well that was the weekend that we got married, a fabulous wedding, followed by a wonderful honeymoon in Cadgwith, Cornwall. We spent a week in a little cottage by the sea talking about the wedding, going on long romantic walks and generally having a great time. We were supposed to be leaving on the Sunday, but looking at the skies on the Friday morning we decided to leave a bit earlier to avoid any bad weather. We made it as far as Truro, and then came to a stand-still, with Bodmin Moors shut the traffic was backed up, snow was falling thick and fast and we, amongst many other motorists, were stranded in the snow. No hotels were accepting bookings, they were full of all Truro workers that couldn't get home, we resigned ourselves to a night in the car. As we turned the heaters up, we noticed a Fish and Chip shop across the road, so my new husband rushed out and got us our dinner. As he came back instead of getting into the car he headed to the boot and after a bit of rummaging around he came back into the car with 2 Denby plates and mugs, wedding presents from someone who didn't use the ordering services... So we ate our Fish and Chip supper off our new plates and drank the bubbly from the mugs...how romantic!
