I use these dishes for many things - individual cottage pies or crumbles, vegetable gratin so that everyone can choose their own selection of veg; small portions of roast potatoes when only one or two of us at home. The dishes are great for good size individual portions, or two portions for a lighter meal. So useful I have several of these so that I can batch bake and freeze for instant home-cooked meals when I don't have time to cook - and cleaning is an absolute doddle!

I cook these simple dishes where you mix things together then bake them in the oven and the downside is that you know you are going to have a cleaning job that will defeat the dishwasher afterwards. But not with these dishes - a very brief soak and it all just wipes off!! I understand that the glaze was developed with a German company who specialise in this technology. Far better that the **other** porcelain which purports to do the same thing. Highly recommended.
